Getting Started With Modeling
Looking to start building your modeling portfolio? The first thing you'll need is some headshots. Once you've booked your shoot, I will help coordinate outfits and plan out your photoshoot to make sure you get the best photos possible. During our shoot, I will help teach you some basic posing techniques and you will get practice for your first modeling jobs.
Once you get your photos back, the next step will be to reach out to agencies. I'm happy to recommend you to agencies where your look would fit best and book the most work. All agencies are different! If you have one in mind already, let me know! If you're looking to practice being in front of the camera, I'm also happy to introduce you to entry level jobs where you can start getting paid to model in a low stress environment.
It all starts with booking your portfolio photoshoot.
Booking Your Photoshoot
- Reach out. The first step is reaching out and discussing your goals. What are your photos for? Do you want to apply to an agency? Did you just get signed?
- Plan your shoot. If you have specific shots you want, you can share a mood board with me so we're on the same page. If not, we can go over how many looks you want, plan a location, and shoot date.
- Shoot day!
- Make your selects. Once we're done shooting, I will upload all of our photos from the shoot for you to select your favorites to be edited.
- Receive final edits. Expected 7-14 days after making your selects, your final edits will be delivered to your email.

Modeling Portfolio
Is it worth it? $500 is a significant amount of money to invest in yourself but once you get your first paid modeling job, you'll be glad you started. Modeling jobs can pay anywhere from $50-$250/hr with the average daily rate being $1000/day. After booking your first job, you'll likely make all your money back.
I paid $300 for 2 headshots back in 2018. I then got signed with the Block Agency as a model and through my agency, booked ~$20k worth of jobs in my first two years modeling.
